Free Davis Cup tickets for schools

Johannesburg - In a bonus for school going tennis fans, The South African Tennis Association (SATA) announced Wednesday that they would be holding a "School Friday" during the forthcoming Davis Cup Tie, South Africa vs India.

The Tie, hosted by the City of Joburg will be played at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena in Johannesburg from 18-20 September is a world group playoff Tie with the winners progressing to the Davis Cup elite World Group in 2010.

On Friday, 18 September, the first days play of the Tie sees the first two singles rubbers starting after the opening ceremony at 12h00. Both teams top two singles players will be in action. SATA will be giving away 20 x free tickets to the first 40 schools that apply for the complimentary tickets for the Friday session.

Schools wanting to apply for the complimentary tickets are to call SATA on 011 442 0500 between 09h00 and 15h00 Monday through to Friday and ask for Claire Smithard to claim your tickets. You can also email Claire on Claire@satennis.co.za

Tickets are now available at all Computicket outlets nationwide retailing at R65 (Saturday) and R75 (Friday and Sunday) respectively.
